Monahan's Seafood Market

Monahan's Seafood Market sells fresh whole fish, fillets and shellfish, and has been in business for over 40 years. Its case carries fresh seafood daily, and the staff can fillet whole fish in store or custom grind fish for holidays. The market also makes made-to-order, easy-to-heat take-home meals and publishes a large collection of seafood recipes.

At lunchtime the counter serves a daily special and cooks to order any item in the case, with dishes such as fish and chips, fried calamari, salmon teriyaki and a chowder of the day. Curbside pickup and takeout are available. The shop is at 407 N. Fifth Ave. in Ann Arbor, in the Kerrytown area, and founder Mike Monahan is often behind the counter.
