Gym America

Gym America is a gymnastics school for children from toddlers through competitive athletes. It offers instructional classes for children five and up, Preschool Playtime for ages 18 months to four, and a staff-supervised Open Gym for ages five to ten. Its competitive teams coach Compulsory, Xcel and Optional levels, and its summer camps run half-day and full-day sessions each week.

Enrollment can start at any time, and families can call, visit in person or enroll online. Preschool Playtime requires a parent to stay on site. The gym is on the east side of South State Street, south of the railroad tracks, in Ann Arbor. Founded in 1979 by Claudia and Ed Kretschmer, it is staffed by coaches who are USA Gymnastics safety certified and background checked, and it stays open late on weekday evenings.
