Big City Small World Bakery is a downtown Ann Arbor bakery that bakes from scratch every day in small batches. The menu covers traditional cakes, wedding cakes, pasties, scones and pies, with gluten-free and vegan options alongside the traditional baking. Pies are made with apples from a local orchard, and the orange-ginger scone uses ginger candied on the premises.
Most orders are placed by phone or in person for pickup, and the bakery takes all payment types. It is open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at 500 Miller Ave. Owner Scott Newell has been baking there for more than 20 years, and eGift cards are available.
