Alpha Design + Build

Alpha Design + Build is a custom remodeling firm that pairs in-house designers with master carpenters, handling kitchens, bathrooms, basements, custom additions and small projects. The company focuses on design and construction together, so one team is accountable for how the finished space looks, what it costs and how long it takes. Its work includes space planning, opening up closed-off rooms, creating ground-floor master suites and phasing remodels around a budget and schedule.

Projects are designed at the company's Design Center on Jackson Road, where clients can view cabinetry, countertops and flooring selections. The team works with local building officials in Washtenaw County communities and says it manages subcontracted plumbers, electricians, tile setters and painters on its own projects. Office hours are weekdays, and the staff will meet by appointment.
