Beyond the Leash

Beyond the Leash is a dog training business that works with behavior problems in dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes, and is known for taking on difficult dogs or those that have failed earlier training attempts. Its most popular offering is a board and train program called Doggy Boot Camp, where a dog receives intensive training from professionals, followed by follow-up classes so owners can keep the training going. The company also runs private class packages and group classes, and it lists problem areas such as aggressive behavior, canine anxiety, barking, fearfulness, jumping, leash pulling and running away.

A Solutions Session is an hour-long assessment held at the client's home, where trainers observe the dog, run a training session and recommend a program. The business has operated since 2005, moving from Los Angeles to Massachusetts in 2009, and it continues to offer boarding to some graduates. Its address is on Gowen Ln in York, Maine.
