Local food co-op with a market and café140 South Walnut Street, Wooster, OH
Local Roots Market & Café is a cooperative marketplace in downtown Wooster that features seasonal, sustainable foods and handmade goods from more than 300 local producers, including over 200 Ohio small businesses. The café serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, with each weekday bringing a different chef's menu made from scratch in the kitchen and some international dishes not found elsewhere in town.
Shoppers can meet the farmers, chefs and artisans behind the products and learn about them directly. Producers do not have to staff the store, so farmers can stay in their fields and gardens. Membership is a $50 annual cooperative membership open to community members. The market and café are at 140 South Walnut Street, and the café is open Monday through Saturday mornings and midday, with shorter hours on Sunday.
