Footprints Counseling

Footprints Counseling is a private counseling practice run by Joseph B. Alexander, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist who opened the practice in January 2014. He works with adults, older children from age 9, adolescents, couples and families. Clients often come in dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, or personal, marital and family problems, and Joseph has a particular interest in couples, families, grief and boundaries. He also has pastoral counseling training for clients who want to explore spiritual questions.

Visits are by appointment only, either in person or by telehealth. The practice takes cash, checks, debit and credit cards through Square, and Venmo and PayPal, and it is in network with a number of insurance panels, including Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, Medicaid, Medicare and several employee assistance programs. Joseph responds to calls, texts and emails when he is not in a session, so a voicemail or email is the best first step. The office is on Healy Drive in Winston-Salem.
