Valley-Shore YMCA

Valley Shore YMCA is a community nonprofit serving the Connecticut River Valley shoreline with youth development, healthy living and social responsibility programs. Its offerings include childcare, a preschool center, before and after school care, summer camp, swim lessons, the Marlins swim team, personal training, the Y Tri Family triathlon club, and specialty health programs for people such as cancer survivors and seniors. The Y also runs a community garden whose produce is given away, and a financial aid program so that programs are open to anyone regardless of ability to pay.

The Y is at 201 Spencer Plains Road in Westbrook and is open daily, with early morning and late evening hours on weekdays. It is closed on major holidays and closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Volunteer opportunities are available to members, and the Y accepts donations to support its financial assistance work.
