Grey Hawk Storage

Grey Hawk Storage rents climate-controlled storage units in West Des Moines. The units are kept between 55°F and 80°F year-round, which the business says protects wood furniture, electronics, musical instruments, documents and wine from Iowa's swings between winter cold and humid summer heat. Customers commonly store antiques, holiday decorations, clothing and artwork here.

Units are rented by the month, and reservations can be made online through the business's site, though the online system does not work with Safari. The facility has video surveillance, dollies and handcarts, elevator access and online bill pay. The site lists a reservation that is not picked up within 30 days expires without a refund, unless the customer cancels in that window.
