First Trinity Lutheran Church

First Trinity Lutheran Church on North Main Street in Wellsville runs Trinity Christian Daycare, which opened in February 2007 and cares for children from six weeks to twelve years old. The program has babies, toddlers aged 18 to 36 months, preschoolers ages 3 to 5, and school-age children in the elementary grades. Nancy Link directs the program, and a staff of more than twenty looks after the children.

The daycare is fully licensed by New York State's Office of Children and Family Services and can take about 81 children on most days. It grew out of the church's nursery school, which operated for more than 25 years. Children from Wellsville and Allegany County are welcome as space allows. The daycare does not promote any one religion but teaches Christian values. Families who want to learn more can call the daycare directly.
