Capital Segway runs guided Segway tours of Washington, DC, and bills itself as the only Segway-authorized tour operator in the city. Riders get a short training session before heading out past the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam and Korean War memorials, the Washington Monument and the Smithsonian, with evening and sunset rides also offered. French and German tours are available on request.
The company has been operating since 2004. Each rider receives a headset so the guide can be heard clearly while riding at a relaxed pace. The office sits on Connecticut Avenue near Farragut West, half a block from the White House, with a public garage right next door.
