Little Birdie Hatchery

Little Birdie Hatchery is a family-owned hatchery that sells chicks, its own brand of backyard flock feed, bedding and chicken-themed gifts. It is a licensed North Carolina hatchery and chick dealer and an NPIP certified hatchery, and it sells adult birds as well as chicks. The chick and feed offerings are sold by appointment only, and the family asks customers not to handle the chicks before buying.

Appointments are booked through the website, and questions can be sent by phone or text. The brooders are not open to the public, and customers with an existing flock are not allowed into the coop. The family recommends a 4 to 7 day quarantine for any new birds added to an existing flock. The hatchery is on Tamaras Circle in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and the hours change with chick season and bird flu conditions.
