Nezinscot Farm

Nezinscot Farm is a working organic farm in Turner that runs a gourmet food shop, cafe and bakery. The bakery turns out breads such as anadama, sourdough and cinnamon raisin, baked fresh daily, along with muffins, scones, croissants and whoopie pies. The farm also makes its own cheese and charcuterie, and sells farm-raised beef, pork, chicken, dairy, eggs and produce through a community supported agriculture program.

The cafe serves sandwiches, soups and drinks made in-house, with specials that rotate weekly; food is packaged in compostable containers for eating in or taking out. Store hours run Wednesday through Sunday, with the cafe closing earlier in the afternoon. The farm also has a fiber studio, a yarn shop, an herbal apothecary and catering and event services. Founded in 1987 by the Varney family, it started as the first organic dairy in Maine.
