Wellborn Winery

Wellborn Winery is a small-scale craft winery in the Blue Ridge Foothills of upstate South Carolina, making French-American hybrid reds, whites and rosés, along with muscadines and fruit wines. Its Lily White estate wine was named Best Estate-Grown South Carolina wine at the 2022 Palmetto State Wine Competition, and a Rustic Red Chambourcin won gold at the Wines of the South competition in 2018. Most of the grapes and fruit come from its own vineyards or nearby South Carolina growers.

The winery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 6 pm during spring and summer, and other days by appointment. Tastings and glasses of wine are available, and the tasting room is dog friendly, so visitors often bring their dogs along. Gift cards can be bought online. The winery is on Mush Creek Road in Travelers Rest.
