GITAI

GITAI is a robotics company that builds technology for work in space. Its offerings include a standard spacecraft platform, satellite components, an inchworm robot, a lunar rover, on-orbit servicing, and lunar infrastructure construction. Recent announcements include completion of a flight model of its S3 robotic satellite for an on-orbit servicing demonstration, a selection by the U.S. Space Force for a space-based interceptor program, and a contract award under the Missile Defense Agency's SHIELD IDIQ program.

The company describes its goal as providing safe and affordable labor in space, and says a technical demonstration robot is deployed on a commercial module of the International Space Station. GITAI is a business-to-government and commercial contractor rather than a walk-in shop, so most neighbors will learn about it through its news and career pages. Its office is on Dominguez Way in Torrance.
