Talent Irrigation District

Talent Irrigation District is a quasi-municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, established in 1916 and governed by three elected directors. It is the largest irrigation district in Southern Oregon and supplies irrigation water to about 3,530 accounts and 3,000 landowners across roughly 16,300 acres. The district's water comes from creeks and three Reclamation reservoirs, moved through more than 130 miles of canals and pipe.

The district office is open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and it stays open through lunch. Water orders should be called in 48 hours before you want to start using water. For emergencies after business hours, a separate answering service takes calls at all times of the year. The project area includes land in and around Medford, Phoenix, Talent and Ashland, and the board meets the first Tuesday of each month at the district office.
