Modern Shades

Modern Shades makes custom interior and exterior window coverings, from wood and faux wood blinds and plantation shutters to cellular, roller and woven shades. Its products come from brands such as Hunter Douglas, Norman, Alta, Draper and Comfortex, and most interior and exterior treatments can be motorized to run by remote, app or voice. The company also handles large-scale and custom-printed orders for businesses.

Visits start with a free in-home consultation, where the team brings samples to your room to match fabrics against your walls and furniture, so there is no showroom visit needed. Modern Shades serves homeowners and businesses around Summerville and the wider Lowcountry. It was formerly known as Cane Bay Window Fashions, and Greg Pritchard now runs the company.
