Seasonal menu built on local farm ingredients35 Main Street, Stockbridge, MA

Once Upon a Table is an intimate restaurant in the Berkshires that has been serving diners since 1996. The menu is built around seasonal ingredients from local farmers and producers, so it changes often, and the kitchen prepares only a select number of dishes each day. A longtime waitress bought the restaurant at the end of 2021, and after a brief closure for updates it reopened in April 2022 with a refreshed menu.
Lunch is served Friday through Monday and supper every day, and the kitchen works to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Indoor seating holds 30 guests, with extra outdoor seating from mid-May through November 2 when the weather allows. Booking ahead is recommended, especially in peak season, and walk-ins are taken when there is room. The restaurant also hosts private parties of up to 30 people and sells gift certificates. The building is historic, and the only restrooms are up a short flight of stairs.
