Whirlwind Laundry Center

Whirlwind Laundry Center is a self-service laundromat with washers in 30, 45, 60 and 80 pound sizes and reversing moisture-sensing dryers. Basic and Super wash cycles end with a 350 G-force spin that cuts drying time to about 20 minutes. The shop also stocks detergents and laundry supplies, plus snacks and drinks from vending machines.

Payment is by a reloadable Whirlwind Laundry Card, which can be bought or topped up at the payment kiosk with cash or credit or debit cards, and Michigan EBT is accepted. The store is open 24 hours a day for laundry customers, though it is cleaned daily and not staffed around the clock. It sits on Van Dyke Avenue just south of 16 1/2 Mile Road in Sterling Heights, and support is available by text.
