American Appliance

American Appliance sells new and reconditioned home appliances and repairs them, operating from a showroom and warehouse on 54th Avenue North in St. Petersburg. The store is an authorized Frigidaire and Electrolux retailer, carrying Frigidaire washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and microwaves, along with used units from brands such as Kenmore, GE, Maytag, Whirlpool and KitchenAid. It also keeps a large stock of new and used parts.

Repair technicians work in the customer's home, with a $98 trip charge for the first appliance and $25 for each additional one, plus parts and labor. Reconditioned appliances include a free 12-month service warranty. Delivery is $40 and limited to Pinellas County. The store accepts cash, checks and major credit cards, and the showroom is open weekdays and Saturday morning.
