Vineyard Mansion & Carriage House

Vineyard Mansion & Carriage House is a restored 1890 Romanesque Revival mansion in St. Joseph, Missouri, offering four suites in the main house and a separate Carriage House apartment. The house was designed by the architectural firm Eckel and Mann and built for B.R. Vineyard, a prominent local attorney. After years as apartments, it was returned to a single-family home and restoration work continues, with Gilded Age grandeur throughout.

Guests receive a key to the front door and can come and go freely, with use of the foyer, rear parlor, dining room and kitchen. Breakfast is self-serve at any hour from the food pantry and refrigerator, and guests are welcome to cook in the kitchen. Bedrooms have no TVs, but the rear parlor does. The Edmond 2, a newer property around the corner, adds more accommodation options. Reservations can be made online.
