Il Lazzarone

Il Lazzarone is a family-owned Neapolitan pizzeria that bakes pies in a wood-fired oven imported from Naples, using only four dough ingredients and cooking each pizza in under 90 seconds. The menu runs from Margherita and Marinara to specialty pies like Calabrian Pepperoni and Supremo, with antipasti, Caesar and goat cheese salads, and dessert pizzas such as Nutella and cinnamon baked apple.

The pizzas use DOP San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella or buffalo mozzarella. Pizzas are served whole and cut into four, and the pizzeria does not sell by the slice. Catering is available, and the company also sells T-shirts and hats online. The Saint Joseph location is at Frederick Avenue, and the business also has a Kansas City location in the River Market.
