Scottish-inspired tea service, savory pies and whisky11205 East Dishman Mica Road, Spokane, WA
Torra Tea is a tea house and restaurant that pairs a tea service with Scottish and UK-inspired food and a full cocktail list. The signature three-tier tea service comes with tea sandwiches, scones and bite-sized desserts, and the savory pies and Cullen Skink, a smoked haddock chowder, are among the dishes to try. Tea and whisky show up throughout the menu, in drinks, baking and some savory dishes.
The restaurant takes reservations and has gift cards. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 8 PM, and is closed Sundays and Mondays. Torra is in South Spokane Valley near the Dishman Hills Conservancy, with a dining room of dark earthy tones, white-linen table service and chandeliers. Owner Kathryn Soady opened it after a career in physical therapy and operations.
