You Dirty Dog

You Dirty Dog is a self-serve dog wash with enclosed wash bays, plus a full-service grooming option for owners who would rather hand off the job. The self-serve bays come stocked with shampoo, towels, blow dryers and brushes, and they accommodate small to large breeds. Staff will help with the washing and grooming as needed, and there is no time limit on a bath.

The full-service side covers bathing, de-shedding and pawdicures, though breed-specific haircuts are not offered. The South Portland location sits near the Maine Mall, and the shop also has a retail boutique selling dog treats, including smoked bones and soft or crunchy options. Owners can drop a dog off for grooming and shop or eat nearby. Appointments are available for full-service visits.
