Hutchins Trucking Co.

Hutchins Trucking Company is a family-owned Northeast regional for-hire carrier that specializes in refrigerated hauling and drayage. It started in 1960 with a single truck hauling fish from Portland's waterfront and has since moved groceries, ocean containers, paper products, fresh produce and machinery. Several of its drivers have earned American Trucking Associations Million-Mile Safe Driving awards, and some have reached the two-million-mile award.

The company describes its equipment as new and well maintained, and says safety, professionalism and on-time delivery have guided its work for more than 60 years. Drivers are home every night on regional routes. Hutchins is based in South Portland and is hiring drivers, offering competitive wages, paid leave and a 401(k) match with profit sharing.
