Coastal Upholstery

Coastal Upholstery builds and repairs custom upholstery for boats, motorcycles and antique cars. Its boat work covers both interior and exterior upholstery, while auto and motorcycle jobs include antique auto seats and motorcycle seats. Leather repairs and patch sewing are also part of the work, along with banquette seating and upholstery for medical equipment such as dental chairs and chiropractic tables.

The shop was opened in 2010 by Laura Rendell, who has worked in the marine industry for more than 20 years and brings that background to every job. She lives in South Portland, Maine, where the business is based, and she brings a strong interest in boats, motorcycles and careful craftsmanship to her work.
