Yummaries Bakery

Yummaries Bakery makes scratch baked goods, desserts and gifts in Smithfield, with pound cakes, pies, cookies, fruit breads and fudge among its long-running favorites. The Five Flavor Pound Cake and Banana Pecan Bread are among its best sellers, and the family recipes include a fall Grandpa's Fruit Cake and Pear Honey preserves.

Most items are made to order ahead of time, so the bakery asks customers to email yummariesbakery@gmail.com to preorder, and it books up weeks in advance in November and December. The shop is open Thursday through Sunday at 213 Main Street, and it closes for winter break from after Christmas to mid January. Parking is on Main, Mason and Cedar streets.
