For The Troops

For The Troops is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that sends "We Care" packages to members of the American military. The packages hold basic necessities, treats, games and notes of support for troops who are deployed. Donors can sponsor packages, and the group holds fundraisers such as a barbecue event and an annual golf tournament.

Troops can request a care package or ask for items from the wish list, and the group also takes letters for troops. The office on Cochran Street in Simi Valley is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and is closed on federal holidays. Mail can go to the P.O. Box in Simi Valley.
