Second Use

Second Use reclaims building materials for reuse across the Puget Sound region, selling salvaged doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, lumber and hardware from its retail store. Its inventory changes constantly and includes reclaimed paint, tools, appliances and decor pieces. The company has operated since 1994 and also offers salvage assessments and material pick-ups for contractors and homeowners remodeling a space.

The Seattle store on 6th Avenue South is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with receiving and drop-offs until 5 PM. Donated materials are sold to benefit local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and the company also has stores in Tacoma and a drop-off site in Shoreline. Gift cards are available.
