Coffee & cafés in Seattle

Coffee shops and cafés are where many people start the day, meet a friend, or grab something quick to eat between errands. Many offer espresso drinks, tea, smoothies, pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and some also sell gift cards or handle catering for meetings and small gatherings. Menus differ a lot from place to place, so it helps to check before you go. Call ahead or look at the listing for hours and current offerings, especially if you need a large catering order, which is worth booking a few days in advance. If you plan to work or meet for a while, ask whether the space and seating suit that, since some cafés are better for a quick stop than a long visit.
