Paper Boat Booksellers

Paper Boat Booksellers is an independent bookstore in the West Seattle Junction that sells new books, with curated sections, staff picks and a mystery section added at readers' requests. Co-owners Eric and Desirae opened it after West Seattle lost its only new-book store, and Eric curates the shelves and playlists while Desirae shapes the displays and gift selection. Gift cards, non-book gifts and a Pacific Northwest bestseller shelf are part of the store.

Books can be ordered online through the store's Bookshop.org page, and special orders are taken if a title is still in print. Educators get a minimum 15% discount on school orders, and the store hosts book clubs and author events. Dogs need to wait outside, and customers can bring in coffee from neighboring shops. The store is at 4522 California Ave SW in West Seattle.
