Whitman Lawn Care

Whitman Lawn Care is a locally owned lawn treatment company based in Scranton that builds fertilization, weed and grub control, core aeration and soil correction programs for residential and commercial lawns. The company tests soil first, corrects acidity with lime where needed, and then sets a feeding schedule, which matters on the shale-derived, acidic ground common in this area. Organic slow-release programs are available for customers who prefer them.

The company offers free on-site estimates and provides a written schedule and price before any product goes down. A standard program runs five to six visits from early spring through late fall, and add-on services like aeration, lime and flea, tick and mosquito control are scheduled separately. Crews post treated properties and say how long to keep pets and children off the lawn. Service covers Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming counties, including Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Clarks Summit and Dickson City.
