The Recovery Bank

The Recovery Bank is a recovery support center in Scranton for people who have experienced addiction to alcohol or drugs, along with their loved ones. Its calendar is full of meetings for many kinds of groups, from dads' and veterans' meetings to sessions for newcomers and longtime members. Programs include meditation, mindfulness, nutrition, wellness, life skills, anger management and step discussions.

Beyond meetings, the center offers yoga, dance, trivia contests, nature walks and holiday parties, along with acupuncture and massage therapy. People can volunteer to help, and the center takes donations online, by phone or by check. Checks are payable to The Treatment Advocacy Center (The Recovery Bank).
