Northern Light Espresso Bar & Cafe is a coffee shop on Courthouse Square in Scranton, pouring espresso drinks made with Damiani Coffee Roasters beans alongside loose leaf teas, chai lattes and smoothies. The kitchen bakes scones, muffins and cookies, and its menu includes breakfast burritos, bagel sandwiches, wraps, salads and soup. The house coffee, Aurora, is one of the newer offerings.
The shop has been in the historic Scranton Life building since 2002 and is owned by Jenn Saunders. Sandwiches, salads and soups change often, so calling ahead is a good idea for specific items. Mobile ordering is available, and gift cards are sold. Catering covers coffee service, sandwich trays, salad bowls and pastry trays with three to five days' notice, and delivery or pickup is free.
