Vinyl records and dance music since 1977447 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA

JDC Records is a vinyl record shop and record label known for dance music. Jim Callon founded it in 1977, selling records out of his car at swap meets and local stores. In the late 1970s and 1980s, JDC was a leading label for electro, disco, Italo disco, freestyle, hi-energy, bass and hip hop. The shop is now in historic downtown San Pedro, after earlier stores in San Pedro and Hermosa Beach.
The shop is closed on Mondays and open the rest of the week. Callon is also a musician who started out as the lead guitarist of the Glass Family Electric Band, and he still plays with the band around Los Angeles. Visitors who want to get in touch can call the shop or leave a message.
