Rin-Tei

Rin-Tei is a Thai and Japanese fusion restaurant that reworks familiar dishes into its own style. Its best-known plate is a beef stew with white miso, simmered for more than 48 hours until the beef is very tender, and its menu also includes a tomato beef pho, a soy milk pho with keema curry, chicken rice with miso-ginger sauce, and sous vide spiced lamb chops.

The menu runs through appetizers, main dishes, lunch and dessert, with vegan options such as a tofu kra pao. Online ordering is available. The restaurant is on South El Camino Real in San Mateo, and weekend dinner service runs a little later than on weweekdays.
