Rodízio-style Brazilian churrasco grilled over mesquite charcoalSan Mateo, CA
Espetus is a Brazilian churrascaria that serves rodízio-style dinners, with Gaúcho chefs carving grilled meats tableside from skewers. Its 12 to 14 signature cuts of steak, pork, chicken, lamb and shrimp are grilled over 100% natural mesquite charcoal, and a salad bar, hot dishes and Pão de Queijo come with the meal. The first location opened in Hayes Valley in San Francisco in 2003.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and reservations are strongly recommended. Locations are in San Francisco, where the Market Street site is open only for private events, San Mateo on South B Street, and Concord at The Veranda. Group dining inquiries are handled by an events team, and the restaurant also offers gift cards and private events.
