Poplar Creek Golf Course

Poplar Creek Golf Course is a public golf course in San Mateo that runs a driving range, junior and adult instruction, and a set of recurring women's and men's club groups on different days of the week. The course hosts golf tournaments and outings, and the San Mateo County Championship is held there.

Tee times can be booked online or by calling the course. The clubhouse is partly open to the public, with restrooms available, while the restaurant, banquet rooms and kitchen remain closed until a new food and beverage operator is chosen. Irrigation well drilling work is underway on the grounds, with the second phase expected to finish in fall 2026. The course is at 1700 Coyote Point Drive in San Mateo.
