Sinai Memorial

Sinai Memorial is a nonprofit Jewish funeral home and sacred burial community, founded in 1901 as the Chevra Kadisha of the Hebrew Benevolent Society. It offers funeral services, cemetery services, traditional and green burials, alternatives to burial, and mourner care, with an emphasis on Jewish ritual practices such as taharah and tachrichim.

The team is available 24 hours a day across the Bay Area, with separate phone lines for San Francisco and the North Bay, the East Bay, and the Peninsula and South Bay. Ritual cleansing and traditional burial cloths are offered at no charge, and the organization provides no-cost or low-cost burial for families in exceptional financial need. Advance planning meetings and guides for the newly bereaved are available on the site. The funeral home is located on Divisadero Street in San Francisco.
