Dental care from supervised students at a university teaching clinic11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, ME

The UNE Oral Health Center is the teaching clinic of the University of New England's College of Dental Medicine, where dental students provide care under the supervision of licensed faculty dentists and hygienists. Common services include cleanings and checkups, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, dentures, veneers, implants and nitrous oxide. Patients with a dental emergency such as pain, infection or a broken tooth can visit the urgent care walk-in clinic, which runs Monday through Thursday.
Care is fee-for-service, with fees generally 30% to 50% lower than private practices, but payment plans and sliding-scale fees are not offered. The clinic accepts patients of all ages and participates with Northeast Delta Dental and MaineCare. Appointments typically take about three hours, and new patient spots are limited each semester around the academic calendar. Single-procedure referrals are not accepted. Parking is free in the surface lot on the Portland campus, so plan to arrive about 15 minutes early.
