Evolution Athletix

Evolution Athletix is a gym in Saco, Maine, that puts group fitness and martial arts under one roof in a space of just under 14,000 square feet. It is best known for CrossFit, mixed martial arts, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing and kickboxing, with youth programs for kids as young as four and adult classes for beginners and experienced athletes alike.

Classes run most weekdays from early morning into the evening, with weekend sessions on Saturday and Sunday, and the schedule changes often, so checking it before visiting is worthwhile. A first class is free: pick one from the schedule and the staff will arrange a tour and introduce you to the instructor. The gym also has infrared saunas, smoothies and acai bowls, physical therapy on site, and kids' birthday parties.
