CYN Counseling Center

CYN Counseling Center is a nonprofit mental health center serving children, adolescents and adults who are dealing with a range of mental health and life issues. Its work includes individual, family and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention and community education. The center grew out of a case management agency started in 1978 to work with severe child abuse cases in Lake County, and it still focuses on keeping families together and protecting children at risk. Support covers concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying, substance use and domestic violence.

Clients can be seen in person or remotely. To set up an appointment or ask about a program, call the main line or email the staff contact listed on the website. For urgent situations, the center directs people to 911 or the nearest emergency room. The main office is in Grayslake, with a second office in McHenry.
