Bridge Street Burger Shack

Bridge Street Burger Shack is an old-school burger joint in downtown Rockford, serving burgers made from custom-blended, freshly ground, never-frozen beef. The menu is simple: build-your-own burgers in single, double, triple or quad sizes, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and hand-cut fries with a root beer float on the side.

Vegetarian and vegan options include a black bean burger, so not everyone has to order beef. Matt and Suzy run the shop now, carrying on the work of Pete Setterington and his daughters, who started it. It is a casual place to grab a quick bite or sit down for a leisurely lunch, with a few seats inside. Hours run Monday through Thursday from 11 to 8, Friday and Saturday until 8, and Sunday from noon to 4. Orders can also be placed online.
