Kounter Dining

Kounter is a Rock Hill restaurant built around interactive, presentation-driven cooking, with fresh farm-to-table ingredients and plates designed to be as much fun to look at as to eat. Chef Rob Masone leads the kitchen, and the menus include lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and a cocktail list, along with beer and wine. Diners can also buy gift cards.

The restaurant takes reservations through its online link, while the sister spot Elsie's does not, so check which one you mean before you go. Kounter is at 135 E Main Street in downtown Rock Hill, and the dining room sits at the original counter from a former five-and-dime that was once the site of a civil rights era sit-in. Parties of eight or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity.
