Sidekicks Family Martial Arts Center

Sidekicks Family Martial Arts Centers teaches Tang Soo Do to kids and adults, with classes, after-school programs, summer camps and birthday-style web specials offered at its locations. The school presents itself as a place to build fitness, self-defense skills and confidence, and it stresses a clean, safe, bully-free studio with instructors who give students direct answers and encouragement.

The Big Bend location is in Riverview, inside the South Shore United Methodist Church campus on Big Bend Road. The school says families from FishHawk, Lithia, Valrico, Bloomingdale, Brandon, South Shore and Big Bend are close enough to train there. Questions can be answered by phone, and new students can start with one of the online promotions listed on the site.
