Puritan Cleaners

Puritan Cleaners is a Richmond dry cleaner and laundry service that has been in business since 1937. Its best-known work is shirt laundry, with every shirt inspected by hand and returned pressed and folded or on a hanger, plus cracked or missing buttons replaced at no charge. The company also handles wash, dry and fold laundry, rug cleaning, wedding gowns, leather and suede, and tailoring done on site.

Customers can use walk-in drop-off at one of its Richmond-area stores, or take advantage of free pickup and delivery to the door, with payment charged to a card on file. Same-day service is offered on most dry cleaning, and curbside service is available. Military and first responder uniforms get a discount, and the company cleans American flags for free. The headquarters is on Staples Mill Road in Richmond.
