"The Jewel on the Hill"

The Jewel on the Hill is a lounge in Richmond serving rum drinks and popcorn. From October 21 through November 1, 2026, it hosts Bar Muertos, a popup food and drink run with a menu inspired by the food and drink of Mexico, and a portion of sales from that run goes to the Richmond Community Legal Fund.

The lounge's private event space holds up to 30 guests, and the popup menus take center stage during Bar Muertos. There is a happy hour early in the evening Sunday through Thursday, and the weekend hours run late. A 20% pre-tax gratuity is added to all checks, and split checks are not offered for parties of six or more. Reservations can be made online, gift cards are available, and job inquiries go through a form.
