Thrift stores and job training for people facing barriers to work6301 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA
Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is a nonprofit that runs retail stores selling donated clothing, household goods and electronics, and uses the proceeds to fund job training and employment services. Since 1923 it has served people facing barriers to work, and its training programs are offered at no charge to job seekers.
The retail stores accept donations of gently used items, and the organization also runs an e-recycling computer store and an outlet at its Midlothian Turnpike location in Richmond. Stores are generally open Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays. Donation pickup and job training enrollment are handled through the organization's Richmond and Hampton offices.
