Wood-fired Neapolitan pizza with imported Italian flour45 Foothill Road, Reno, NV

SouthCreek Pizza makes Neapolitan-style pizzas in a wood-fired brick oven, using imported Type 00 flour and dough that is cold fermented for at least 48 hours. Its mozzarella is made in-house daily, and the menu runs from classic Margherita and Bianco to specialty pies like the Truffle Shuffle and Frankie P. The house-made meatballs are a favorite starter, alongside salads and small plates such as garlic shrimp and fire-roasted vegetables.
The restaurant is on Foothill Road in Reno and has a cozy dining room. Beer and wine are part of the menu, with about four rotating beers on tap, usually local, plus two tap wines and house-made sangria. Catering and events can be arranged by phone or email, and the restaurant is closed on Mondays and opens late on weekends.
