Small Format

Small Format is a queer, cooperatively run art gallery and exhibition room that also serves coffee, cocktails and food. The menu leans toward breakfast sandwiches on bagels and English muffins, house-made lattes with herbal and seasonal syrups like lavender, maple miso and banana bread, and gluten-free and vegan baked goods such as a matcha sugar cookie and an apple scone.

The space hosts free community events, including a queer knitting circle on Sundays and a book club, usually with no registration needed. It is at 335 Wickenden Street in Providence, and it is open most days from morning into the afternoon, with shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
